Fernando Jose Torres Sanz was born in Madrid, Spain, on 20 March 1984. He was known as the Spanish soccer prodigy because of his achievements (he was named the top scorer of both U-16 and U-19 European Cups) when he was only 19 years old. Now Torres is a striker for Spain and Liverpool.
